Self-reliant, compassionate, caring and conscious till her last breath in this illustrious Janma. Gifting knowledge to the underprivileged children was her greatest Daanam to the world. A Gandhian, who walked from Myanmar to Kolkotta, inspired by Netaji Bose, Amma was the last link of an era of men and women of supreme self-sacrifice, for the freedom of India. A linguist, fluent as a breeze in Telugu, Thamizh, Hindi, Sanskrit and English, Amma contributed much to Women’s emancipation as an equal gender.
