Is Plava(Sanskrit)
கீழறை Keezharai(Tamil).

Plava / Keezharai - refers to the thirty-fifth saṃvatsara (“jovian year)” in Vedic astrology.

According with Jataka Parijata, the person born in the year plava (2021-2022 AD) will be tranquil, generous, compassionate, brave and devoted to his own duties.

Plava - Sanskrit word for a bird “pelican”, “prasevakagala” (sack beneath beak). This animal is from the group called Plava (‘those which float’ or ‘those move about in large flocks’). Plava itself is a sub-group of the group of animals known as Ānupa (those that frequent marshy places).

Plava also means ‘A canoe or little boat’. A Canoe that can take one through the ocean of Karmic Life.
Plavu- is Pala Tree in Tamil, the wood of which is used for making a boat.

Keezharai is the name of this new year in Tamizh.

Refers to the bird Pelican for its bag below the neck (keezh- arai) which is referred in Ayurveda.

Plava also means
Jumping, leaping, plunging, going by leaps or plunges.
Swimming, floating, diving.
A frog.
A monkey.
A sheep.
A diver, or bird so called, (Pelicanus fusicollis.)
A sort of duck.
A man of a degraded tribe.
Waved-leaf fig-tree, (Ficus infectoria.)
The continuous protracted accent, the lengthened sound of vowels in poetry or the Vedas.
Protracting a sentence through several stanzas.
A declivity or shelving ground. (Keezh-Arai)
A sort of basket or snare of basket-work for catching fish.
