As a warrior, a relative, a leader, a student, Arjuna's confusion was real and the situation demanded immediate action. That's when Krishna gave the advise of Gita.
The message was profound; that, emotional disturbances are bound to happen based on ones attachment. That, acceptance of this fact is the first step to be a witness to what unfolds.
Watch it, witness it. Allow it to go past, for nothing is for ever; every joy and sorrow has its limited span in time.
This is subjective detachment.
Apply the knowledge that we are not the doer; it's done through us based on our own will.
The to fight for Dharma (righteousness) is ones duty.
To act in selflessness is the way to do it.
And that it can be done with ease once we surrender to the fact that it is divine will acting though us.
The Kurukshetra war is the battle within;
Know there is a Krishna ( the creation) ready to guide each one of us, as long as we are willing to choose him, trust him, Act in awareness
Act in duty
Act in righteousness...
